Goal Setting
Every morning, take 3 to 5 minutes to write out your top goals in the present tense. Get a spiral notebook for this purpose. By writing out your 10 goals at the beginning of each day, you will program them deep into your subconscious mind.

This daily goal writing will activate your mental powers. It will stimulate your mind and make you more alert. Throughout the day, you will see opportunities and possibilities to move more rapidly toward your goals.

Planning and Organizing
Take a few minutes, preferably the night before, to plan out every activity of the coming day. Always work from a list. Always think on paper. This is one of the most powerful and important disciplines of all for high performance.

Priority Setting
The essence of all time management, personal management, and life management is contained in your ability to set proper priorities and use of your time. This is essential for high performance.

Concentration on your Highest-Value Activities

Your ability to work single-mindedly on your most important task will contribute as much to your success as any other discipline you can develop.

Exercise and Proper Nutrition
Your health is more important than anything else. By disciplining yourself to exercise regularly and to eat carefully, you will promote the highest possible levels of health and fitness throughout your life.

Learning and Growth
Your mind is like a muscle. If you don’t use it, you lose it. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

Time for Important People in your Life
Relationships are everything. Be sure that in climbing the ladder of success, you do not find it leaning against the wrong building. Make time for your relationships every day, no matter how busy you get.

Action Exercise
These 7 disciplines will ensure that you perform at the highest level and get the greatest satisfaction and results from everything you do. Study these 7 disciplines and then make a plan for how you can incorporate each of them into your daily life.

All of us, at times, behave in ways that take away our self-respect
But when we stand tall and respect who we are, we naturally open our hearts and draw more beautiful people into our lives.
Nothing does more to create a feeling of self-respect than being a helpful force in this world,
Since so many of our problems of self-esteem and dependency start when we are young and are carried with us-consciously or unconsciously throughout life - we need to find a way of going back and correct the implanted mess in our thinking so that we can let go of our destructive patterns behavior
Replace the self-destruction seeds with seeds of self-respect
Give these seeds time to take root and grow, and soon the beautiful garden that represents the best of who you are will bloom
Again, don’t be impatient. Note every step forward, no matter how big or small
Each day, you are adding to the light that warms the world.
Make a note of every compliment and thanks every nice thought you think, every time you lend a helping hand, every time you make others feel good about themselves.
With each acknowledgement of our own inner beauty, we soothe the hurt within
Only you can create the experience of self-worth for yourself- no one out there can create it for you
And once you’ve got it, no one can take it away.

I believe meditation is one of the best ways to connect to your Higher Self, as is anything that enhances greater love in your life – love for self, others and the world. Below is an example meditation you might like to explore to connect with your Higher Self. If visualization is not your thing, I’ll be sharing a writing technique in a future post, and intuition practices can also help you build pathways to your Higher Self and spiritual insights and guidance beyond the everyday perspectives of conditioned thinking.

1. Relax, close your eyes, and enter a meditative state in whatever way works for you. Calm your mind and get into a still, quiet, and deeply relaxed space, perhaps by taking a hot soothing bath, listening to relaxing music, counting backwards, slowing your breathing, imagining pleasant imagery, or by clearing your mind of all thought or feeling. You might also want to listen to the relaxation intro of a guided meditation recording if you have one.

2. When deeply relaxed, imagine a place in nature in your mind’s eye. This could be somewhere you’ve been to before, or somewhere entirely new, made-up in your imagination, whether it’s an ocean beach, forest grove, bank of a riverside, garden or meadow, or mountain top. If visualization isn’t your thing, just get in touch with a sense of it, a feeling or idea of it, as it’s your intention that matters most. Make this place as vivid as possible by engaging all of your senses. Try to see any sights you can in detail, smell the air, feel the breeze against your face, and the ground beneath you, reach out and touch something and make it real, or just FEEL the presence of this place in your heart.

3. Now allow your Higher Self to come to you. For this, have them appear as a human being, likely your gender, seeing them walking towards you, some way away at first perhaps. They can adopt a human form to better interact with you. Don’t worry if you feel like you’re just imagining it or making it up; your imagination is a platform to help co-create the experience, and the energy of your Higher Self can still come and be with you.

4. See your Higher Self walk towards you. See the love in their eyes, and experience them reach out their hands to embrace you. Feel that embrace. Allow yourself to be received by them. However vividly or vaguely you experience them, know that they are there and have come to be with you. Just be open to their presence. If you find it easier, simply imagine them as shimmering light of some kind (such as spherical or oval in shape, or whatever feels comfortable).
Allow that light to wrap around and embrace you in its glowing love.

5. Now together, spend some time with your Higher Self. You may have some questions to ask, in which case see if you hear a reply or if an awareness, image or thought dawns on you. As I am more visual than audio inclined, I sometimes imagine my Higher Self with a white-board and see them writing answers, either in pictures or words, for example. Sometimes I get them to write a message with their finger on my back, letter by letter, as I am sensitive to touch. Just be open and explore, there’s no wrong or right way of doing this exercise. If you experience little consciously, that’s OK, just know that they are there for you and love you totally and unconditionally. Make an intention to open to this love if nothing else.

One thing you can do is simply lie down in this place in nature in your mind’s eye and ask your Higher Self to heal you. You may see or sense them placing hands over or upon areas of your body, or light or energy. You may feel emotions or thoughts move through you. You may sense nothing it all, which is also fine. Just be open to receive this healing and allow whatever needs to be done occur at a more subtle energetic level.

This meditation becomes more and more vivid with practice. Like everything in life, new pathways of experience need to be built through flexing like muscles. If visualization isn’t your ‘thing’, I’ll be sharing a writing technique for connecting to your Higher Self in a future issue.

The PT Technique: Leads To Increases In IQ Of Between 5-10 Points

1. Get a coin and place it in front of you, preferably sitting flat on a table.

2. Make sure you are in a comfortable sitting location and in a place in which you won't be disturbed, for at least 20 minutes.

3. Next, look at the coin from a distance of about 30 to 40 cm away and concentrate your full attention on the shape of the coin. You won't need to touch the coin for the whole exercise.

4. Place your attention on the side-edge of the coin and try and force all your mental attention and thoughts to be concentrated on that edge. This means you simply want to force all of your concentration and mental energy on the edge of the coin. The easiest way to do this is to look directly and only on the edge of the coin.

5. You should imagine that the mental attention, concentration and your thoughts which you're letting out is acting as a force to make the coin move. Mentally push with your concentration towards the edge of the coin as hard as possible and imagine this mental push and force of concentration is like a force which can make the coin move. The coin should not actually physically move in any case.

6. Make sure you are looking at the edge of the coin throughout the whole exercise.

7. If you're doing the technique correctly, you'll become unaware of your surroundings. If you become distracted (which you will at first), turn your attention back to the coin and doggedly try to keep it on.

8. You can also do this exercise for any other object you want, but a small metal object is best, simply because it's easier to focus on.

Other Effects of This Technique

1. Increased listening ability
2. Increased mathematical ability
3. Ability to sustain more complex arguments
4. Increased ability to extract relevant information from
sources
5. Increased ease in memorising things

The gains are awesome considering how easy this technique is.

Most important of all, is that you need to be consistent in its use. You should use this for 5 days per week, for at least 3-4 weeks to get huge mental benefits. Do it for 15-20 minutes at a time. If you're struggling with that, try it for 10 minutes at a time and work the time length upwards. This technique is also in The Complete Guide To Genius.

So how does this technique work to boost your capabilities?

Well, consider this fact: although your attention span can be 30 or 40 minutes in length, your concentration span is actually a lot, lot less. Your concentration span on a particular quality of something is actually only a few seconds.

Here's proof.

1. Look at a particular quality of an object. For example, look at the color of a pencil or its
shape.

2. Next, look at how your concentration on that object wavers to another quality of the object
within a few seconds.

So although your attention on something can be kept for a while, your concentration on particular qualities can be extremely quick. So merely boosting your concentration span by even a few seconds can lead to huge improvements in mental ability.
